This is Winston! Winston was brought into our senior sanctuary under the impression that he was a senior due to the way he looked when we pulled him (last pic). However, our vet thinks he is only around 3-4 years old and he is not doing well in our set up so it is time for him to find his forever home or a rescue better suited to his needs.

Winston is not a beginner dog. He would do best in an only dog home or with someone experienced in managing dog selective dogs. We currently have 8 other dogs here and there are 2 of those 8 that I trust him around. Winston also struggles with being confined or separated from his person. He can get vocal in his crate at times but can not be left unsupervised outside of a crate.

On top of those behavioral challenges, Winston has an autoimmune condition called Pemphigus Foliaceous. It is currently in remission and does not require any medication or care. However, it could flare again in the future and he would then need to be put on medication until it goes back into remission.

All that being said, Winston is the absolute sweetest guy you’ll meet. He just wants to be in your lap constantly and will give you all the kisses. He has the biggest, blockiest head with the shortest little legs. He has the perfect energy level and will lounge around the house or yard all day. Winston has a great appetite and enjoys just about every treat, chew, and food.

Our setup is not fair to him and it is not fair to our seniors to have him here longterm. He can be sent with his anxiety crate if needed! If you are interested in adopting or rescuing Winston, please message me!
