I am selling my 1999 k1500 Suburban. It was my daily driver, hauled children, and did work truck stuff until I thoroughly over heated it on I-24. After I got it cooled down and restarted cooling water came out the tail pipe. The waterpump is bad but idk the extent of the rest of the damage. It's been sitting for about 3yr. it still turns over, I think it wouldn't take much work to get it started but obviously the engine needs extensive work.
I bought the truck from a guy in Knoxville who bought it in CA from the original owner and moved back to TN with it. It has no rust other than a bit on the surface at the front of the roof where the paint peeled. The heated driver seat and AC worked when it was parked. It has leather and running boards. The right rear quarter panel has a dent where I backed into a small trailer. About a month before I over heated it I replaced all the steering linkage from the wheels to the steering gear, new control arms, ball, joints etc. and put a new set of firestone ATs on it. I have now pulled the new tires off and put an old set of worn out tires on it just to keep it off the ground and let it roll easily onto a trailer or truck to go with you. It needed new U-joints in the rear drive shaft when I parked it, I have them, they go with it as do the OEM tail lights (I put LEDs in it). This would be a great source of parts or not too hard to fix up into a work truck or a nicer family vehicle.
