Grade Walking Horse Palomino Mare $1,900 was $2,000
Murfreesboro, TN 50 miles away

I am offering my sweet Dakota up for sale.
She does need a lot of training so if you want to better your horsemanship skills she will definitely help you do that. She does act a lot better when I take her off property and I think it’s because she has had a foal in April 2025 and she gets worried about him when she’s riding at home. I know this is kind of a long description but I want whoever gets her to know about her before you come see her.
- 15.2hh
- Mare
- Grade
- Tennessee walking horse
- 12 years old (vet has aged her)
- Up to date on everything (farrier, vet, deworming, coggins, ect) would be due in February 2027
Here’s a little bit about her past: I got her mid November 2024. She was possibly pregnant and she was kinda skinny. I brought her home and started working with her not knowing that she was pregnant. She did a lot of rearing and bucking. I had bodywork done and vets looked at her. They all said there’s nothing wrong with her and that she is just untrained or mentally unstable with riding. I did get her to stop bucking and stop rearing just before she had her foal. Then she had her surprise foal in April 2025. I then started working with her again slowly in July 2025. With lots of ground work and then started riding her again in August 2025. She was still superrr crazy. She doesn’t really want to walk and she paces when she gets faster. She has a pretty nice canter sometimes. Her foal has made her a pretty nervous horse. I have taken her off property quite a few times and she is way calmer when not riding at home. I do think that a lot of her craziness is from her colt being here and he is still slightly nursing.
She is veryyy sweet on the ground tho and loves to be pet. Sometimes can be bad to be caught. She’s a hard keeper in the winter and she’s on pasture/hay 24/7 and I feed her 6lbs of Nutrena safe choice a day. Her being a hard keeper I blanket her at around 40 degrees in the winter and that seems to help so I don’t have to up her feed. She acts the same whether she’s had 2 months off or been worked with 6 days in a row. She’s still just as crazy
All this to be said… right now she is rideable with an advanced calm rider. She still rears quite often but hasn’t ever flipped over or made me scared. She will walk and be calm occasionally too. I have put a lot of work into her thus far but I have decided to sell her because she’s not making any progress since her baby is here and I don’t have the time to be taking her off property everytime I want to ride.
I will only sell to an amazing home that will continue her training and better her as a horse. Price can be negotiated for the best home. We will have papers for you to sign if you do decide to buy her saying that if you sell her she comes back to me. I just want to make sure that she doesn’t end up somewhere terrible.
Please contact me at if you are interested in her and wouldn’t mind describing what her living situation would be if you do buy her. Of course all questions are welcome and I can send videos of me riding her so you know exactly what you are getting. Located on Woodbury side of Murfreesboro
She comes with her winter blanket, grooming tools and whatever of her feed I have left when you come to pick her up 😊
