🚀 "Ol’ Red " – 5yo Performance/Barrel Prospect
Price: $3,500 (OBO to the right home)
Age: He turned 5yo on April 11th 2026
Status: Newly Gelded | Quarter Horse Type -Ultra-Stout Build!
THE HORSE:
If you want speed, muscle, and a "get up and go" attitude, this is your horse. He is a powerhouse—broad chest, massive "bulldog" hindquarters, and a thick, athletic neck. This boy absolutely loves to run; when he’s "feeling his oats," he’s lightning fast and covers ground with ease. While he hasn't been started on the pattern yet, he has the build, the engine, and the fast-learning brain to be one hell of a barrel or ranch horse.
TRAINING & TEMPERAMENT:
• Halter/Lead Broke: Easy to catch (he’ll walk right to you), leads well, and is used to being stalled.
• Started Under Saddle: He is UNBROKE but has been sat on a few times. He is a very quick learner but is currently "green" and showing cinch-tension (propping/crow-hopping).
• Experience Level: Not for beginners. He needs a confident rider who can channel his power and speed into a job.
• Loading: Green to trailering. He requires an open stock trailer and a patient hand until he gets the hang of it.
THE STORY:
I am a beginner owner who was unfortunately misled and sold an unbroken stallion as my first horse. I have since had him gelded (May 2026) and provided consistent care. He has way too much "motor" and potential for my experience level, he deserves a home where he can be used to his full capacity.
Location: Oldfort, TN
Serious inquiries only and MUST go to a good forever home. He’s a powerhouse ready for a trainer to take him to the top.
