Reece is a 14-year-old chestnut mare and stands about 15 hands tall. My daughter has owned her since Reece was 8. She is bombproof. She hasn't spooked once since we have owned her that I can remember. She is an awesome all-around horse. You can ride her bareback at a walk and trot. You can throw a rope off of her, drag a dummy on a sled, cross creeks, go over bridges, and go through mud. She has also been ridden english and jumped about 2 feet (Have Videos If Needed). She has proven to be an amazing trail horse. We have ridden her at Big South Fork Park, and she didn't act up once on the trails. She went up and down steep hills, crossed creeks, and went over bridges. She truly surprised us the first time we rode her on the trails. We were very impressed with how she handled everything and took it all in. She does get antsy at big shows, but she does better if you are on her and keep her moving. She does paw. If you are beside her, she tries to move around and rub her head on you. She can be ridden in a field, might try to test you but once she knows she can't get away with it she rides great. She needs an advanced beginner rider or above as she can be mareish at times. She stands for a farrier but doesn't like her back feet to be shoed. You can shoe them if you have to. She loads on a trailer. She is an easy keeper and builds muscle quick. She is at the bottom of the totem pole and gets along well with other horses. If another horse is bothering or messing with her, she will just walk off. You can carry a flag on her. She is an awesome all around horse. She isn’t papered/registered. She is very laid back, she acts perfectly fine around dogs or any other animals. She is also very calm and doesn’t get upset about much, you can even sit under her and she doesn’t care. You can also pull a tarp around on her at o walk or trot, we haven’t tried the lope but she didn’t even flinch at the tarp in a walk or trot. We even had her walk on it and she didn’t care. She is an amazing mare, the only reason we are selling is because my daughter got a new horse and hasn’t been able to give Reece the attention she deserves.
