Siberian Husky tripod needs loving home $ —

I have been trying to keep Sam but he needs a better home, we've had him 5 years but circumstances have changed. We had plans to put up fencing and that fell through. I don't think it's fair, with him being a tripod and a husky, to have to keep him tied. He is my partner's dog but my partner has health issues that keep him from exercising with his dog. He needs his shots and heartworm medicine and I have not been able to do that for him, yet, this year but I am working on it. If someone gets him before I am able to get that done, I'd rather the money go to his vet. He is not fixed. I got a little overzealous thinking I would be able to return to work soon, after being sick (cancer), but it's going to be more complicated than I thought and I took on a little too much. He really needs a yard and someone with better finances. I just can't do it after being sick for so long and need to admit it although I don't want to. He has 3 legs but you could never tell until he tips over and falls on his face, which I think he does to make us laugh. He lost his leg in some kind of accident we did not see when he escaped. We think he was hit by a car but are not sure. We suspect animal control may have done it when they slipped the noose over him but we have no proof. We took him to the vet and tried to save his leg with a cast but, unfortunately, he would not be still enough since he's a husky (tried the cast for about 2 weeks) and they had to amputate his leg. He also has hip dysplasia in his hind legs so I don't take him on any super long walks, although he will still try, bless him, he will just go and go unless you stop him. He is also not fixed. I'm really not sure on his age as I was told he was 3 when I got him but the vet guessed he was maybe 6 or 7. My guess is he's about 10-12 years old now but he's still very active and hyper, like a typical husky. He is the sweetest dog and a big baby that just wants to be loved on. I'm hoping I can find him a home with a fenced in yard. He is the biggest goofball and will keep you laughing. He can also be very gentle but you have to remind him bc he does get excited whenever you are around. He doesn't dig very much, like most huskies and I was able to keep him at my mom's house that had a 4 foot fence on one side. He stayed in the yard and was happy to just run around. If you think you can give him a good home, please message me. He will stay with us unless I find the right place for him. We just want a good life for him, especially in his old age. I wish I could provide that for him but his quality of life has gone down since I got sick. TIA
