Meet Marcus, so given the name because he is a survivor. This pup almost didn’t make it. He has a story of survival that will melt your heart. Out of our litter, he was the runt. We hand raised him his first week and a half of life, keeping him in a nesting box and hand feeding him.
Marcus Luttrell is a veteran with an amazing story of survival. We dubbed this puppy our Marcus because of his fighting spirit and refusal to give up.
Marcus is now 8 weeks old and thriving! He is just slightly smaller than his siblings but has caught up in every other way. Runts tend to make the best pets and the best companions. He continues to show a great spirit for life.
Due to his tender condition at the time of docking, we chose not to put him through that stress, and therefore he has a full length tail. It is still possible to have it docked by a veterinarian though.
Marcus has had his 1st and 2nd set of shots and been dewormed 3 times.
Marcus is a German Shorthaired pointer…. A bird dog. With training, this dog may just be the best hunter out there. He is tenacious and gentle. He can hold his own but would prefer to cuddle.
