SWW opened in 1896 as Sparta Spoke Factory and moved to our current location in 1950. There have been changes throughout the years, but what has not changed is the commitment to our customers, the satisfaction guarantee of our products, and the loyalty of our employees.

Sparta WoodWorks offers a full array of domestic hardwoods, in various thicknesses, that are sold by the layer. We also offer a few select exotic woods that are sold by the board.
The domestic hardwoods that we typically have are walnut, cherry, hard and soft maple, red and white oak, ash, sassafras, birch, poplar, basswood, cedar, and rustic alder.
Examples of the exotics that we typically have are: jatoba, sapele, meranti, and African mahogany.

All lumber is Kiln Dried.

We have 2x2x16&18” squares available in ash, hard maple, walnut, and cherry. These are perfect for turnings, gluing up cutting boards or any other wood craft projects you may have.

We carry furniture grade Eastern White pine in 4/4, 6/4, and 8/4 thickness.
Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist with what you need for any building projects, whether it be furniture, barns, out buildings, or a re-model. Sparta WoodWorks has the lumber you need.

We have several types of cutting boards/blocks, pizza paddles, rolling pins, hummingbird houses, carpenter bee traps and child rockers that are made by our highly skilled craftsmen and craftswomen at Sparta WoodWorks. Any of these products would make a wonderful gift for any occasion.

Office hours are from 7:00-3:30 daily, five days a week, Monday-Friday.

Lumber sales are from 7:00-11:30 and 12:00-2:30 daily, five days a week, Monday-Friday.
