Finding a home for this puppy $40 was $50

Pikeville, TN
back
So needing to rehome this happy boy. He is a Great Pyrenees/Irish wolfhound/Border collie mix.

Our dog had a litter back in late December, she passed away a couple of months after that so I've been struggling to let any of them go.

We're keeping a couple of his sisters but we don't need three extra dogs, since he's the only male and we don't want any preteen pregnancies, he's the one who we decided we need to rehome.

He is 30 pounds currently, so he's lighter than a Great Pyrenees but should still be a big dog.

He's a good boy, in exchange for him being older puppy instead of a little baby dog, He is crate trained, will walk on a leash, He hasn't had an accident in weeks and that accident was because he was waiting on me to open the door first thing in the morning.

He'll take baths if water is correct temperature and is bribed with treats (I just stick PB on side of tub while I'm washing him with wand) but he doesn't like the blow dryer (might be fine if he had one of those ear blocking hoods), he tolerates nail trims, haircuts and being picked up.

He knows not to chase chickens and goats. He knows the words, Inside, Outside, Crate, Food, Water, Treat, Go potty, Sit, No, Leave it, Uh-uh, Drop it, Good boy, Come, Whistling is also a recall.

His temporary name is "Lil Boy" he knows it, it only took like 30 mins with treats to teach him that so there won't be a problem teaching whatever you'd like his name to be.

He would probably be a pretty good guard dog, even as a baby we had a neighbor come inside our house for first time and he put himself between me and the "scary stranger" and barked at him until I calmed him down. (I still stand by this if he's out in the evening and his daddy starts barking he'll start up with him and is suspicious of new vehicles, etc. He will stop if I tell him to though.)

He's pretty active, loves running and playing.

He's pretty funny he'll look between you and what he wants repeatedly when wants something (Like his water dish or door)

He isn't neutered(He isn't old enough) and hasn't had his shots.

He's not been flea treated recently but I'll give him a flea bath and deworm him just in case before he leaves.

I will send some of his current food and some of his "treats" (some dry cat food) with you.

Added a picture of him before his bath today when he found some mud to play in as well for transparency lol

Why is he still on LSN? First and foremost, he hasn't made it to the meeting stage.

Most decided we were too far away. (We're near Pikeville, TN. We can meet halfway if we need to. I just want a good family for him) or never replied past the original email/text they sent me.

Please remember to check the email attached to your LSN if you message me, that's where my reply will pop up, LSN does not let people send return messages on their site, just to the email attached.

Another turned him down because he's still got a lot of puppy energy/loves running around and the family had small children.
