I used to use one of these as a kid to “draw” water before we had a well pump. The well wasn’t really that deep, but with each Bail full of water, it seemed to add another hundred feet to the rope I was pulling. I don’t miss drawing water, but that water sure was cold and good. This old pulley took me back.
